“Two Fish” – A Wabi-Sabi Dining Experience
Key Design: Wabi-Sabi, Minimalist, Clean&calm, natural materials
Type: Japanese restaurant
Two Fish is a modern Japanese restaurant that embraces the serene beauty of wabi-sabi—where elegance lives in imperfection, and stillness tells a story. The space is defined by minimalism, balance, and natural materials, celebrating simplicity with intention. Polished concrete floors reflect soft natural light, while warm wood tones from chevron counters and open shelving offer grounded contrast. Handcrafted furniture in ash and walnut, paired with raw-textured walls and organic ceramic tableware, complete the narrative of refined calm.
Oversized cloud-like pendant lights float above the sushi bar like quiet sculptures, casting a diffused glow that highlights the purity of each surface. Vertical wood slats and clean architectural lines guide the eye, creating rhythm and privacy without disrupting flow. Pops of color come from abstract wall art in painterly gradients—blues, greens, and sandy neutrals—evoking nature and seasonality.
