“Kinda” — Dine under the leaves
Key Design: Brothel, Japan street food, Izakaya
Type: Japanese restaurant, Izakaya
This Japanese izakaya-inspired restaurant blends bold street culture with an unapologetically provocative aesthetic. The concept channels the energy of Tokyo nightlife—neon-lit, sexy, and raw—fusing the grit of vintage adult posters, bold graphics, and nostalgic retro references with warm timber textures and ambient red lighting.
Brick walls and wood finishes ground the space with urban ruggedness, while red LED accents run throughout, creating a moody, seductive glow. The ceiling and shelving are lined with sake bottles, while noren curtains and Japanese lanterns bring authenticity and cultural layering. A collage of retro Japanese posters forms a dramatic backdrop, nodding to underground cinema, pop culture, and risqué motel vibes.
The mood is playful, rebellious, and immersive—a provocative take on late-night dining where street food meets visual chaos and every seat feels like a scene from an underground Tokyo flick.
